Blog About Town - Gary Pepper Vintage

This week I wanted to share another of my favourite blogs.

Who is this clever little cookie you ask? Why its Gary Pepper Vintage.

The Gary Pepper Vintage Girl is a Japanese Pop Star! Not in reality but in the mindset of creative Nicole Warne who started the Gary Pepper world in 2009.  Her blog is filled with lots of pretty pictures of her latest favourites both new and old and she has a lovely online boutique where you can purchase her vintage finds.
I recommend following her on facebook so you can get in quick!

She has a great sense of style and has a very polished way of combining new and old.

I am also in love with her latest shoe purchase from the New Zealand boutique Ruby

How gorgeous are they. If I wasn't heading overseas in the near future I may consider purchasing a pair for myself for AUD $290.00! Head over to the Ruby boutique to have a look at some of their other items.

Blog about town

My favourite blog about town this week is one of my original favourites called Tuula by Jessica Stein. I have been following Tuula for a couple of years and have seen her beautiful blog travel from country to country. Blogging mostly about fashion, travel and her vintage finds, Tuula is certainly a dream world filled with all my favourite bits!
She recently won the chance to blog at the RAFW in Sydney and has beautiful photos on her page from both up and coming and established designers. I am in love with the Alex Perry Tangerine dream!!!!

Tuula also sells vintage clothing and jewellery from her travels around the world. If your not already addicted, you soon will be!

Make do and mend

Hi there...welcome to the Whimsical Emporium where you will find quirky, playful and fun fashion inspiration.

My name is Jess and I have a love for the old and beautiful. I collect and create fashion from era's past and hope to inspire you with my slight obsession!
I am also a sewing enthisiast with an entire room in my house filled with threads, buttons, fabrics, a dress form and of course multiple sewing machines!

I recently purchased an old singer sewing machine at a local market. It is still in working order and although it can only sew a straight stitch (a far cry from all the modcons that can be found on the latest sewing machines today) I cannot wait to use it on one of my creations.

Some patterns that I am creating this week

the maxi skirt...

and a cape,  eat your heart out little red riding hood!

Photos of the outfits will be up over the weekend.
